To add the UNC path of a network location to the Trusted sites zone, follow these steps:

    Close all active Windows Internet Explorer 7 windows.
    Start Windows Internet Explorer 7.
    On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
    On the Security tab, under Select a zone to view or change security settings, click Trusted sites, and then click Sites.
    In the Add this website to the zone box, type the UNC path of the network location, and then click Add. For example, type \\Server\Share.

    Note In this example, Server represents the NetBIOS name of the server. Share represents the shared folder where the file is located.
    Click Close, and then click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Fix error performing inpage operation

Open up command prompt then type CHKDSK L: /R and hit enter (where L: is LOCAL DISK). It may take a while for it to check and fix any errors on the volume. Once it's completed, try accessing the volume again.

Overtype Mode

When typing on Microsoft Word, it is automatically deleting the next character


in "Overtype Mode." In WORD, click TOOLS\OPTIONS\EDIT (tab). On the left, clear the check mark by "overtype mode."

Or, look at the tray at the bottom of the WORD screen. If you see the "OVR" icon, click it. That should toggle it off.

TIFF file not opening in Office 2007

You  have to install Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

To install Microsoft Office Document Imaging in Windows Vista, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, type Programs and Features in the Start Search box, and then click Programs and Features in the Programs list.
  2. Click the 2007 Microsoft Office suite that you are running, and then click Change. For example, click Microsoft Office Premium 2007, and then click Change.
  3. Click Add or Remove Features, and then click Continue.
  4. Expand Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
  5. Click Run all from My Computer, and then click Continue.
  6. Click Close to exit the 2007 Microsoft Office suite setup.

  1. Click Start, type appwiz.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
  2. Click the 2007 Microsoft Office suite that you are running, and then click Change. For example, click Microsoft Office Premium 2007, and then click Change.
  3. Click Add or Remove Features, and then click Continue.
  4. Expand Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
  5. Click Run all from My Computer, and then click Continue.
  6. Click Close to exit the 2007 Microsoft Office suite setup.
